Rebooking kit
What a rebooking kit actually solves
A year between tests is a long time to hope a sticky note survives. The kit stays in the binder. The ledger is the date the shop calls from.
Open a free ledger once the kit is in the binder. The shop still sets every date.
Missed renewals
Fire alarm, sprinkler, fire pump, extinguisher, and backflow start at 12 months on this ledger. Hood and Ansul starts at 6 months. The shop writes the real date. Between those visits the book goes quiet. The building does not think about the shop until someone asks for the last report.
If that next date is not written down, the renewal gets missed. A missed test is the liability the building manager is left holding. The shop that is not named in the binder does not get the call.
Chase calls
A chase call is the shop hunting a manager who left, a binder that moved, or a sticky note that never made it back to the truck. The inspection-day sheet is filled on site: the last report, a way to the equipment, and the phone that should get the rebook call.
The handoff sheet is for the day the manager changes. The next due date and the shop phone stay on paper, so the new contact can still make the call.
The empty book between annuals
The visit is the job. The months after it are the empty book between annuals, unless the next date is on a list the shop actually opens. The free ledger keeps that list on this device, up to 25 clients. It sorts overdue, 7, 14, 30, and 60 days, and drafts a plain-text note in the shop’s name. It does not send email.
What you leave, and what you keep
- Print the inspection-day sheet and fill it before the inspector asks.
- Print the handoff sheet when the contact for the building changes.
- Put the same next due date in the free ledger so the shop is the one that calls.

Who it is for
Fire, alarm, sprinkler, and hood shops that already test the building, and the building manager who has to produce the next date. LifeSafetyRebook does not inspect, approve, or certify a building. The shop sets the interval. Rules vary by city.
Questions
Does the kit replace the inspection report?
No. The sheets are leave-behinds for the binder. Reports stay with the building. The ledger only keeps the next due date and the note the shop drafts.
Who sets the next date?
The shop sets the rebook date. The schedule guide lists the references already on this site. Those notes are not a code determination. The AHJ and the water supplier can expect a tighter date.
Does the ledger email the building?
A free ledger drafts a plain-text note on this device. It does not send email.
